Our history
Founded in Mumbai in 2011, SPICE has grown into one of the fastest-growing media schools in Maharashtra. It is a unit of the Pauline Family — the Society of St Paul, a religious congregation founded in 1914 at Alba, Italy, by Blessed James Alberione. Faithful to their founder's mission, the Paulines communicate using every means modern technology offers.
Present in 32 countries including India, Brazil, Mexico and the Philippines, the Society of St Paul runs communication institutes offering innovative graduate and postgraduate programmes in media, communication and philosophy. The Mumbai campus also houses St Pauls Publications (nearly 300 titles a year), St Pauls Audio-visuals, St Paul Book & Art Centre, and Title Waves — Mumbai's first large-format boutique bookstore.
Purpose, mission & vision
SPICE exists to prepare industry-ready media professionals through practical, mentor-led education. Our approach blends rigorous learning, real industry connection and a genuine commitment to student outcomes — training the next generation of journalists, communicators, advertisers and filmmakers.

SPICE's PG Advance Diploma and Certificate courses are accredited by the Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education & Training. Over the years the institute and its students have been recognised across media, advertising and communication.
